These beautiful fabrics realize the full joy potential of red and yellow.
The pattern is derived from a simple block, rotated, flipped, and combined with a lot of mirror symmetry. I learned this design technique from Jinny Beyer’s amazing book Designing Tessellations.
In this quilt, the unusual pattern allows me to use large patches of fabric while avoiding boredom and simplicity.
